Katie was born and raised in Madison, MS and went on to attend the University of Mississippi, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Art. She has always been drawn to art and design and has worked in the industry for the past 10 years, specializing in residential design and custom draperies. Her personal design style would be a mixture of modern and rustic chic. Katie loves creating transitional looks by mixing traditional fabrics with rustic and modern pieces, as well as antiques. Her dream home is a Dutch Colonial in Rosemary Beach with floor to ceiling windows, a 1st and 2nd level wraparound porch and a lushly landscaped courtyard. She loves the feel of Urbanism meets West Indies and how colonial elements complement the coastal character of the homes in Rosemary.
Katie loves creating relationships with her clients and really getting to know their personality, their needs, expectations and how they function in their home. This helps her create and design a space unique and functional to them. Her goal is to make the design process as fun and effortless as she can for her clients, as well as provide them with a beautiful, functional design that they love.
Pasta and red wine are Katie’s two vices.
She loves riding on the back of her husband’s Harley with him.
She owns 3 different kinds of vacuums…and uses them all!
Katie loves to paint!! She also faux finishes..if only there were more hours in the day.
She is a total fabric hoarder!! So much that her husband kind of banned her from bringing anymore home.
Her dream is to one day live on the beach.
